| I have served as the Technician for Transylvania County Board of Elections since 2001. In that capacity, I have been deeply involved with the conversion to the ES&S iVotronic DRE terminals. | |
| To help address the needs for hardware inventory, service and assignment tracking, and related issues, especially in light of the increased attention being given to testing and record keeping, I developed an election support database application. So that the county would not incur unknown development costs, I undertook this project independently, and have licensed the system to Transylvania County. | |
| I am pleased to announce that a revised and expanded version can now be offered to other counties in North Carolina. The Automated Tracking System has been specifically designed for counties using iVotronic DRE terminals, permitting the assignment and tracking of iVos, PEBs, compact flash cards, and seals. This assists in meeting testing and chain of custody documentation. | |
| One significant component of this system is the use of uniquely identified bar coded seals to provide an added layer of security and to identify potential tampering. Thus, rather than obtaining just a software database application, you would also be receiving a complete system to help assure quality elections. | |
| It is my goal to provide a service to the voters of North Carolina through their county board of elections. I hope you will consider licensing the Automated Tracking System. | |
| If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. | |
